Drafting and Illustrative Design Technology

The purpose of this program is to provide students with a foundation of knowledge and technically oriented experiences in the study of drafting and design technology. The program focuses on transferable skills and stresses understanding and demonstration of the technological tools, machines, instruments, processes and systems in business an industry.

Laboratory Activities: Instruction and learning activities are provided in a laboratory setting using hands-on experiences with drafting instruments, equipments, materials, and computer- aided drawing. Activities may include the production of orthographic, auxiliary,  sectional , engineering, and architectural drawings. Students will also apply basic skills in communications, mathematics, science and design/problem-solving processes.
